The playing fields give you a massive amount of open space for any panoramic shots you may want. The park also has a cracking BMX track if you’re in to that 😊

Top tip: There is a gorgeous little woodland walk that runs parallel to the entrance road. The woods are full of gorgeous trees and wild garlic flowers. The woods are also home to some beautiful rhododendron bushes that are massive. They give great pops of colour and have beautiful warped, twisting branches at their centre which add some cool background interest to your portraits.

The park drive way is long, winding and lined with massive rhododendrons and trees. It’s a great place to take couples town a quick walk/shoot portrait session.

Top tip: the gorgeous veranda looks out onto the beautiful park and is surrounded by railings and waist high plate glass. This gives you so many opportunities for clever reflections and leading lines. 

For the young ones (and maybe the not so young ones) there is the big fun play park & ice cream shop! Just be aware that these are open to the public.

Other points to note

The staff are really nice and thoughtful. They went to great lengths to make sure I was fed and the food is really good. 

There isn’t a lot of free parking, however, there are a number of pay and display car parks which are pretty reasonable. 

It’s pretty easy to find but as it’s in the middle of a massive park, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

Conclusion

Oddfellows on the Park is a lovely venue, set in a beautiful park. You won’t be disappointed getting married here!
