Make that memory

Adventure Wedding Photo Session

So what is an adventure wedding photo session?

Your wedding day is going to be epic - a fun-filled day that you will want to celebrate with your family and friends. My aim on a wedding day is to keep you with your guests, enjoying yourselves, so I keep portrait sessions to 15 minutes and we stay super local - the grounds of the venue or a local park if it’s a short walk.

An adventure session gives you the opportunity to get a serious hero image for your wall

How does it work?

We pick a day and time shortly following your wedding to meet up at an epic location. You get back into your glad rags and I make some fantastic images

Where can we go?

Epic locations usually fall into the following categories:

  • Mountain tops

  • Deep dark forests

  • Glass-like lakes and lochs

  • Waterfalls

  • Ancient woodland

  • Grassy meadows

We can find some seriously spectacular scenery here in the Peak District and the North West. But I love the wilds of Scotland and North Wales too. The world is really your oyster and I’d be over the moon to plan this with you.

What times work best?

Golden hour is usually the best time - so sunrise or the hour before sunset. Lakes are usually at their most calm at these periods too.

What if we get stuck in the mist?

If this happens, you will see me do a happy dance - mist gives us a blank canvas on which I can build layers.

SoWhat if it p#sses it down?

Epic photos in the landscape usually happen on the edges of the weather - the breaks in the clouds, the sparkle of the raindrops and the drama in the skies.

I’ll be watching the forecast in the days up to the shoot and will discuss options with you.

We want the Milky Way in our images…

Ooo, really?! Then we will need a Dark Skies park and a clear night. This will take a bit of travel, a bit of organising and a fair bit of kit but I like where you're heading with this!

Let’s have a chat and seek what we can do

This is all about having your cake, and eating it, hopefully on the side of a mountain with the sun setting behind!
